GT supplies replacement milling picks for Wirtgen road milling machines.
The 2308098, 2308099 and 2800871 are commonly identified with the W6 series of milling picks. They are installed on the milling drum and work with the cutter holders to remove asphalt and other road materials.
For customers ordering by part number, we can supply the corresponding replacement pick according to the required specification.
The exact pick should be confirmed by part number, machine model and existing cutter configuration before ordering.

Depending on the machine and milling drum configuration, other W6 and related milling pick numbers include:
Not every part number fits every Wirtgen machine. The milling pick should be matched with the cutter holder and milling drum configuration.
The milling pick is the part that actually enters the asphalt during milling.
As the drum rotates, the pick contacts the road surface under continuous impact. The carbide tip takes the cutting load, while the steel body and shank sit in the cutter holder.
When the pick becomes worn, the cutting pattern can change and milling performance may be affected. For this reason, picks are normally inspected and replaced as part of regular milling drum maintenance.
The W6 series includes different configurations.
For example:
2308098 – W6/20X
W6 design with a 20 mm shank.
2308099 – W6-G/20X
W6-G design with a 20 mm shank and extraction groove.
2800871 – W6-G/20A²
Another W6-G configuration from the Generation A² range.
Although these picks look similar, they should not simply be mixed together based on appearance. The holder, shank and extraction arrangement need to match.
Typical applications include:
They are used together with cutter holders, milling drums and other wear parts on road milling equipment.
