A loader cutting edge looks like a simple steel wear part, but it works in one of the hardest positions on the machine.
Every time the bucket enters a pile of coal, gravel, sand or other bulk material, the cutting edge takes direct contact with the working material. Impact, abrasion and repeated loading gradually change its shape and reduce its working performance.
We manufacture replacement cutting edges for Shantui wheel loaders and related bucket applications, including main cutting edges and side cutting edges.
Different part numbers and dimensions are available for 30-class, 50-class, 60-class and other loader configurations.
A cutting edge has two jobs.
First, it needs to withstand wear.
Second, it needs to keep its shape while working.
If the material wears too quickly, the bucket needs more frequent maintenance. If the cutting edge becomes deformed or damaged, it can also affect the bucket profile and working efficiency.
This is why we do not treat cutting edges simply as cut-to-size steel plates.
Material selection, forming, machining, heat treatment and final inspection all have an effect on the finished part.
Our focus is to make the replacement cutting edge match the actual working requirements of the loader.
The main cutting edge is mounted along the front of the bucket and is normally the first part to contact the material.
It is commonly used in loading, stockpiling and material handling operations.
